FAQ (Q-Switched Laser)
The ND-YAG Q-Switched LASER is one of the most versatile lasers in cosmetology. This laser has a number of different techniques and technologies that allow you to perform all aesthetic procedures for the face and décolleté with one laser module. The doctor can effectively switch between the modes of generation of laser pulses: Q-Switch, Free mode, hybrid, or use them together. The characteristics of ND-YAG Q-Switched allow it to work both in a very short mode (hundreds of picoseconds) and in a very long mode (hundreds of milliseconds).
Our Q-Switched laser has a special frame construction made of extra strong and lightweight metals, which allows you to generate very high power and energy of the laser beam with a minimum volume and weight of the nozzle. Carbon peeling, complete removal of tattoos of all colors and shades, acne treatment, non-ablative rejuvenation is just a short list of dermatological treatments that the Active Q-Switched ND-YAG laser can perform.
Q-Switched Lasers use very short but high-energy pulses, typically only a nano-second long. This creates a photomechanical effect on the skin. Q-Switched Lasers are perfect for treating tattoos and pigmentation. The short but high energy pulses cause rapid heating, generating a shockwave that breaks down the pigment.

2.Is it safe?
Q-Switched Laser Treatment is a gentle alternative, and requires less sessions than skin resurfacing procedures to achieve similar results. Thus, reducing the chances of side effects greatly. It does not cause the skin to become thinner.
3.Is it painful?
The laser energy feels like many tiny hot dots on your skin. The process is very tolerable.
4.Is there downtime?
The best part of the Q-switched laser is that it is effective with no downtime! A mild pinkish flush might be present for about 15mins after the laser. You can put on make-up immediately after a laser treatment and go straight back to work!
5.What else should I do when I go for laser treatments?
Avoid sun tanning for 7 days before and after the treatment. Also apply appropriate sunscreen.
6.Can I get Q-Switched Laser done if I am pregnant?
Yes! The laser is non-ablative and does not interfere with your pregnancy.
7.I’m on Accutane. Can I still do Q-Switched?
You can – as the Q-Switched isn’t an ablative laser, it doesn’t thin your skin and you can do it while you are on Roaccutane.
