According to skincare professionals, the side effects of HIFU facelift machine are very minimal and rare. These side effects aren’t common but can happen. If the treatment is performed incorrectly or you have certain skin conditions, side effects could occur during or after the HIFU facial procedure.

As a HIFU machine manufacturer, we come across several newbie customers who are skeptical of the side effects of HIFU equipment. That’s why we decided to create an article addressing all of these side effects!

How HIFU facelift machine work:

HIFU ultrasound machine works in three ways to achieve a younger look:

●It tightens existing collagen fibers, resulting in immediate firming and tightening of the skin.

●It stimulates new collagen production, providing further tightening and lifting over time.

●Because it can target different depths of tissue safely, it can treat a wide range of issues from fine lines to saggy skin.

Are there any side effects of HIFU facelift machine

Side Effects Of A HIFU Facial:

High-intensity focused ultrasound facial (HIFU) is a noninvasive procedure for tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles. HIFU facelift machine uses ultrasound technology to target specific face and neck areas. This makes it different from other facials, which target all face areas at once. Because of this, HIFU facials are also known as “lunchtime facelifts.” Compared to traditional facelift surgery, these nonsurgical procedures can be done in less than an hour and produce similar results.

Following are a few of the side effects that a few of the people have reported after going through HIFU treatment.

Pain:

According to many HIFU machine manufacturers, HIFU is typically painless. Users report a slight tingling feeling or warmth on the skin. Clients may also experience a sensation of pinpricks and heat. These sensations are only felt during the treatment and do not continue after the client leaves. An experienced aesthetic professional can administer a numbing cream or oral medication to quell the pain if a client feels uncomfortable. However, this is rare and most clients do not require this.

Swelling:

Swelling and bloating as a side effect of undergoing a HIFU ultrasound machine are uncommon but do exist. The swelling usually disappears within a few days, so you’ll be able to see the full benefits of your ultrasound facial very soon. Your practitioner will educate you on all the pros and cons of undergoing the treatment during your consultation. Lip and eye tingling is a mild side effect of HIFU, which resolves itself in about two weeks without medication or medical intervention.

Some people may also experience redness on the treated areas after their HIFU treatment. Like swelling, this redness is usually mild and goes away within 24 to 48 hours after the procedure.

Numbness:

Non-invasive HIFU facelift machine is the latest machine for renewing skin, tightening and toning. This new technology can be used to treat deep wrinkles and fine lines, as well as tighten sagging skin. The HIFU treatment starts with a consultation where your face will be examined, followed by a test patch. Your consultant will explain what to expect from the treatment and answer any questions you may have. Without any invasive surgery, you will see results within a few weeks. Depending on your individual needs, this could include reducing wrinkles or fine lines and firming your skin.

HIFU ultrasound machine penetrates the dermis and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS), an area more profound than all other non-invasive treatments. In addition to SMAS, medical HIFU machine also treats the subcutaneous tissue, a layer located below the dermis. HIFU is different from cosmetic surgery on a few key points, most notably, it is more affordable and doesn't require time off work. Although not typical, damage to these deeper layers can cause minor numbness and take several weeks to heal.

Hyper-pigmentation:

Permanent pigmentation changes can occur when people use heat emitting ultrasound machines to exfoliate the top layers of their skin. Although a rare occurrence, this is a side effect that can potentially be permanent. This skin discoloration can cause the skin to change color and become darker. This is a possible side effect of the heat emitting ultrasound device, which can reach temperatures of 45°C – 65°C.

That’s why practitioners perform patch tests (a sensitivity test) prior to treatment and ensure everything is fully explained and understood during your consultation. You can avoid this minimal risk fully if you opt for a professional who follows all the guidelines strictly.

No results:

HIFU facelift machine, a non-surgical skin-tightening device approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is designed to tighten loose facial skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The procedure involves delivering sound waves deep into the face to stimulate collagen production, resulting in tighter and smoother skin.

While it's great that the skin isn't damaged and there are no visible side effects or adverse effects, it's not helpful for everyone. In 10% of cases, users see no difference in their skin and neck and results vary from patient to patient. Every facial therapy has some potentially adverse side effects. However, medical HIFU machine produces side effects that are rare and relatively infrequent, they tend to disappear within a week or two.

Tenderness or soreness:

It's common for your skin to feel tender or sore for a few days after your HIFU facial treatment. This tenderness or soreness may be more noticeable when you touch or apply pressure to the treated areas of your skin. It may also hurt more when you make certain facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning. If you experience discomfort, you can take over-the-counter pain medication to help ease the pain and tenderness in your skin. Some people find that applying ice packs can also help ease the pain and reduce any swelling in their skin after a HIFU treatment.

Bottom line:

HIFU equipment is a noninvasive method used to target the deepest layer of skin, where collagen and fat are concentrated. The technique uses sound waves to create micro-injuries that cause the body to increase collagen production and expel fat cells. As with any other aesthetic procedure, there are a few side effects. However, none of them are permanent and can easily be avoided. So rest assured, you won’t be disappointed by your choice.
